We are looking for an experienced Governance Officer to join Hafod on a permanent full time basis, working 36 hours per week. This job offers a salary of £26,489 - £28,716 per annum and will be working in St Hilary Court, Cardiff - although we're all working from home at the moment.

What you'll do

This is an exciting time to join our organisation, we have invested significant time and resources into strengthening our governance with the aim of being an exemplar organisation demonstrating governance excellence.

As Governance Officer you will utilise your extensive knowledge in corporate governance to ensure efficient and effective running of the Governance function. This will include; supporting the maintenance of all relevant Governance registers and records whilst adhering to all regulatory and legislative requirements. Furthermore, you will facilitate the implementation of the internal audit programme and pro-actively monitor and report on audit recommendations.

A key part or this role will be to assist the Company Secretary in researching best practice on matters of governance and participate in the regular review of the governance framework. You will also be responsible for providing the Board with the information they need to make informed decisions.

What you'll need

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering governance excellence to join our team. If you are highly organised with excellent attention to detail and have sound knowledge of corporate governance then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

You will have a relevant qualification and proven ability to develop and implement effective and robust governance policies and procedures. You will have the ability to present Corporate Governance information to a variety of audiences provide a deeper insight and to support decision making.

Prior experience of internal audit and risk and control activities would be desirable.
