We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety professional to join Hafod on a permanent full time basis, working 36 hours per week. This job offers a salary of £43,611 - £48,457 per annum and will be based at St Hilary Court, Cardiff - although we're all working from home at the moment, you would be expected to travel across our sites throughout South Wales to provide timely, accurate advice on the full range of Health and Safety issues.

What you'll do

As Health and Safety Manager you will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the cultural change around health and safety throughout the organisation. We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager, who will utilise their extensive knowledge to provide advice on a range of issues, and create, develop and roll out fit for purpose solutions. 

You will ensure an effective and efficient management of all health and safety matters,including policy implementation, monitoring, reporting and inspection. Proactively identifying areas for concern or improvement, and implementing corrective measures which will grow or enhance the Health and safety service or delivery.

You will work directly with the Senior Management team as well as internal and external stakeholders to manage the organisations exposure to Health and Safety risk and to ensure that we have a robust approach and all reporting regimes are in place.

What you'll need

You will have a relevant qualification and sound knowledge and understanding of the application of Health and Safety law. You will need to be experienced in undertaking accident/incident investigations, completing risk assessments and legionella control. You will also need to be comfortable delivering and advising on suitable Health and Safety training, inductions and tool box talks for colleagues.

You will be able to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements, and adapt to changing situations. If you are self-motivated, organised and passionate about delivering an excellent health and safety service across a complex, multi-site organisation, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.
