We are looking for an enthusiastic Surveyor to join Hafod on a permanent full time basis, working 36 hours per week. You will be working as part of an effective and efficient Asset Delivery Team. This job offers a salary of £31,602 per annum and will be working across various locations in South East Wales.

What you'll do

We are searching for an Asset Surveyor who will have experience of engaging and managing contracts and contractors.You will be managing a range of onsite programme of planned works.

You will be managing a programme of works from the initial stages of budgeting the works through the appropriate procurement route to managing the contractor on site.You will be responsible for ensuring they are following the correct Health & Safety guidance.

You will help manage the data held within our asset management function which will be used to maximise the long term planning and financial viability models of our stock.

We have a range of projects that we would love for you to get involved with, such as, helping drive the organisation through the new Welsh Government Decarbonisation target to reduce emissions by 2030. These projects will add value to our organisation and the people we serve, and will give you variety in your job.

What you'll need

To be successful you will have a relevant professional qualification with knowledge of appropriate industry legislation including; Building Regulations, CDM, Radon and Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations. You will need strong technical knowledge in relation to maintenance and repairs and desirable have a good understanding of the Decarbonisation agenda for Wales and the rest of the UK. You will currently hold a PAS2035 qualification or willingness to achieve the qualification immediately.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn new skills and help implement new working practices bringing a positive and can-do attitude to a new developing asset function. You will need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including the use of Excel. Experience of using asset management software systems is desirable.

You will need a full current driving licence and have a willingness to work flexibly.
