We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Support Worker to join our team within Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting Young People 16 years to 21 years living in Supported Accommodation.
This is a permanent, part time role working 36 hours per week

What you'll do
This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right person. You will be supporting young people who may have complex support issues and can challenge services. You will be supporting Young People who may be affected by ACE's, Trauma, PTSD or has faced other difficulties within their short lives. You will be expected to work within a physiologically informed environmental framework, working in a trauma informed way. Supporting Young Persons with their agreed Person Centered support plan goals in regard to education, employment, budgeting, practical necessary skills and knowledge to build resilience to confidently allow them to go forward to achieve their outcome and manage a tenancy independently in line with Housing Related Support funded outcomes.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You will have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
You will need a full, current driving license and use of a vehicle.
