We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team within the Cardiff which provides housing related floating support service for people with learning disabilities, developmental disorders, low level mental health or physical disabilities.

This is a full time temporary role until 31 March 2024, working 36 hours per week. This position has the opportunity to job share. 

What you'll do

This role will be key in providing a personalised psychologically informed service in accordance with individual needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to live independently. You will manage a small team of support workers in supported housing schemes and provide housing management and ensure staff are keeping up to date with H&S legislation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has passion, knowledge and experience in direct line management of staff to provide quality support services to tenants who have an identified lead support need of mental health and complex issues, to successfully maintain their tenancies. You will be working in temporary supported accommodation projects within the Cardiff Area.

What you'll need

The post requires someone with knowledge and experience of the issues faced by people affected by mental health and to manage a team that delivers high quality, psychologically informed housing related support in accordance with their assessed needs, whilst promoting independence and choice in line with the Supporting People Funding grant service specification and outcomes. QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

You will need a full, current driving license and use of a vehicle.
