We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to work at our Plas Y Garn Care Home, in Pontypool.
This is a permanent role working on a relief basis.
What you'll do
You'll be in a key role where you can make a difference. You will ensure that our residents are provided with healthy, high quality options. You will ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen. You will also be responsible for directing and supervising kitchen staff and ensuring they are also aware of their responsibilities with regard to food hygiene and preparation. We have a 5 out of 5 hygiene rating on all our sites.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the skills and knowledge to communicate clearly and provide a first class service to tenants. You will need to have a food hygiene certificate and catering experience based in a professional setting. You will be well organised and have the ability to work with your own initiative to meet deadlines which may be under pressure.

Plas y Garn Care Home provides accommodation for over 65s in Pontypool, Torfaen. We focus on giving a great quality of life to our residents, whatever their abilities and needs are. Our team of specially trained staff provide tailored care to all of our residents, including those who require EMI care and those with dementia.
