We are looking to appoint a Leasing Housing Officer, to join our busy team on a temporary basis. The role is covering maternity leave. We are looking for the successful candidate to start mid November 2021 and we are expecting the contract to run until September 2022.
This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week.
We are embracing hybrid working. If you are successful you can work from home most of the time if you wish, but you will occasionally need to attend our sites for interactive working and to forge great relationships with others.
What you'll do
As part of a small team you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of temporary accommodation, with the aim of supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies and prepare them for other rehousing solutions.
You’ll be confident managing inventories and maintaining weekly contact with residents.
You’ll have experience of property inspections, overseeing repair works and managing tenancies.
What you'll need
You will need a good standard of education and a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in a client and/or support service environment with vast experience of debt recovery.
The successful candidate will ideally have a sound understanding of Housing Law and temporary accommodation.
You will have demonstrable skills in communication including letter/report writing and an excellent telephone manner.
You will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your time effectively.
In addition, it is essential to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, ideally you will have experience of using Housing Management software packages.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
