We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our team. This role is offered on a full time temporary basis, to cover a period of maternity leaver, working 36 hours per week. The role will be providing support in the Bridgend area. This job offers a pay rate of £10.00 per hour - other benefits are listed below.
What you'll do
To assist in the provision of a full range of support services to older persons with support needs within two Extra Care facilities.
To assist in the provision of support related to two extra care facilities through a combination of home visits, drop in advice sessions and through telephone advice.
What you'll need
You will need a good understanding of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies.
You will have experience of working directly with older people with support needs in a Supported Housing setting.
You will have knowledge of local resources/advice services appropriate to the client group.
Knowledge of using electronic record keeping systems and relevant housing related legislation would be advantageous.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships with Young People who are disadvantaged and experiencing difficulties, to respond appropriately to their needs.
You will need a full current driving licence and access to own vehicle with a willingness to work flexibly.
