We are looking for an experience Support Worker to join us, this position is on a part time basis working 23 hours per week. This role will be based in the Aberdare area in one of our Independent Living Services. This job offers pay rate of £10.00 per hour - other benefits are listed below.
What you'll do
To provide a support service for four people who use Hafod Cares services and who have a variety of support needs including a history of mental health issues and substance misuse. The service itself is designed to promote independence and to help regain skills they may have lost, the ultimate goal will be to enable individuals to live on their own and be responsible for their own welfare.
What you'll need
You will need a good understanding of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and the Housing and Benefits system.
You will have experience of working directly with people with any or all of the following criteria: Mental Health,Young People, Physical Disability and Older People within a Supported Housing Setting.
You will have knowledge of local resources/advice services appropriate to the client group.
Knowledge of using electronic record keeping systems and relevant housing related legislation would be advantageous.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships, to respond appropriately to their needs.
You will need a full current driving licence and access to own vehicle with a willingness to work flexibly.
