We are looking for an experienced Relief Support Work Assistant to join our team. This role is will be offered on a permanent basis to provide relief cover for two of our Young Person's Projects, in the Cardiff area. This job offers a pay rate of £9.00 per hour - other benefits are listed below.
What you'll do
To assist in the provision of a full range of support services to Young People with complex needs within a Supported Housing Project.
You will engage with Young People at every opportunity, in order to build trusting and respectful; relationships. Get to know the individual, their strengths and challenges, and how the whole team can support them most effectively.
You will provide Support flexibly to ensure maximum chance of each individual engaging in the support available.
What you'll need
You will need a good understanding of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies.
You will have experience of working directly with young people with support needs in a community setting or floating support service.
You will have knowledge of local resources/advice services appropriate for young people and a sound understanding of the issues affecting young people.
Knowledge of using electronic record keeping systems and relevant housing related legislation would be advantageous.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships with Young People who are disadvantaged and experiencing difficulties, to respond appropriately to their needs.
You will need a full current driving licence and access to own vehicle with a willingness to work flexibly.
