We are looking for a friendly and dedicated Relief Care Worker who is seeking a rewarding job within one of our Extra Care Schemes.
This is a permanent role offered on a relief basis.
What you'll do
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of care to our residents which promotes their independence while safeguarding their dignity.
You will be responsible for carrying out reasonable management instruction in relation to the Home’s obligations with regard to the requirements of the National Minimum Standards for Care Homes for Older people.
What you'll need
You will need a good standard of education, a relevant NVQ in care would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a care setting, specifically with experience of caring for the elderly with varying needs.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships, to respond appropriately to their needs.
You will need a full current driving licence and access to own vehicle with a willingness to work flexibly.

Where You’ll Be Working
Golau Caredig provides affordable independent living accommodation for people over 55 in 42 purpose-built one and two-bedroom flats. Individual care and support is provided by ‘in house’ domiciliary care and a tenant support service.The development is close to Barry town centre and includes several communal facilities including a restaurant, hairdressers, laundrette and multi-use activity area.
