We are looking for an experienced Relief Support Worker to join us, working across our Vale vulnerable families service. The scheme consists of five static homes providing temporary supported housing related to reduce the risk of homelessness. This job offers pay rate of £10.00 per hour - other benefits are listed below.
What you'll do
You will be providing housing related support and a personalised support plan for each tenant. You will also be assisting tenants with debts and budgeting; children's issues; building self-esteem and accessing services within the community.
What you'll need
You will need a good understanding of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and the Housing and Benefits system. You will have experience of working directly with people with complex or varying support needs. You will have knowledge of local resources/advice services appropriate to the client group. Knowledge of using electronic record keeping systems and relevant housing related legislation would be advantageous. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships, to respond appropriately to their needs.
You will need a full current driving licence and access to own vehicle with a willingness to work flexibly.
