We are looking for an experienced Head of Housing to Lead our Housing teams. You will be working 36 hours per week with the option to work a 9-day fortnight, based from St Hilary Court, Cardiff. This role offers a salary of £55,000 per annum - other generous benefits are listed below.
What you'll do
This is a highly rewarding role, where you can really make a difference to our organisation, you will lead our housing teams to ensure a high quality, cost effective service that meets the changing needs of our customers and communities. You will oversee and manage accommodation and schemes for different groups including extra care, retirement, temporary accommodation and Welsh Housing Partnership homes. You will deliver a Neighbourhood Coaching Relational Model of Housing Management, to ensure our customers connect with local services to help them achieve their goals.
As an inspirational leader, you will be expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement of our housing services, you will exercise financial control and lead on the transformation and growth of our services.
What you'll need
You will need a relevant professional qualification and have a proven track record of successfully leading a Housing Services function. You will have experience of leading and managing teams productively and effectively, with the ability to manage organisational change. You will need to be experienced in successfully developing/implementing new services, projects and schemes, as well as identifying and delivering service improvements. You will need a thorough knowledge of housing legislation and national policy as well as having an understanding of the methods of project management, risk frameworks and the different models of housing.
You will be able to work effectively in partnership with the executive team, colleagues, residents, customers and external stakeholders, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Working with a collaborative style you will engage with others and promote positive relationships, adapt to changing priorities and empower your teams to deliver quality services to our customers.
You will need a full current driving licence and have a willingness to work flexibly.
