We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Peripatetic Support Worker to join our team to support our 4 schemes in the Bridgend area providing housing related floating support service for people aged 55 and over.

This is a permanent role working 18 hours per week (3 x 6 hour shifts). The shifts will initially be a Monday and Wednesday with the 3rd day to be negotiated.

What you'll do

This role will be key in providing a personalised informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy by assisting them with daily living skills to remain as independent as possible. - please visit our website for more information on these schemes:

What you'll need

To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You will have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.

A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.

You will need a full, current driving license and use of a vehicle.
