Support Worker (Housing)

We are looking for an experienced Housing Support Worker to provide housing related, person centred support for people living in temporary independent living accommodation within the Cardiff area.

This a part time permanent role, working 12 hours per week.

You will work two 6 hour shifts as part of a rota that provides support to people Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm.

You will need to be flexible in relation to hours worked to be able to provide tailored and targeted person centred support to the individuals and the service.

What you'll do

You will be working with established staff and will play a critical role in supporting customers to enhance existing practical skills and knowledge in tenancy management in their journey to independent living. You will be providing housing related support activities in line with the Housing Support Grant specification and outcomes.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying complex support needs. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships. You will have experience or knowledge of supporting people with mental health issues, working in a psychologically/trauma informed way. Experience of supporting people affected by ACE's would be advantageous within this role.

A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.

You will need a full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle.
