Our Finance, Investments and Development directorate is headed in an exciting new direction! We’re looking for an experienced Head of Development to join us on a permanent full-time basis, working 36 hours per week.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge, who can inject energy and creative thinking to lead our development team to really make a positive difference to the services we provide.

We’re embracing hybrid working. If you are successful you can work from home if you wish, but you will also need to attend our sites for collaborative working and to forge great relationships with others.

What you'll do

As a proven leader and strategic thinker, you’ll embrace new and innovative solutions to motivate a high performing development team in the delivery of our Regeneration Strategy.

You’ll have responsibility for all expenditure within development, including forecasting, leading on risk management and providing value for money, regularly engaging with stakeholders, our Executive Team, and our Board.

What you'll need

You’ll need proven experience in negotiating, financial planning and making analytical decisions as well as leading your team by example to deliver our development aspirations.

You’ll have a strong understanding of the housing needs and demands of the communities we work with to create sustainable communities.

Net zero carbon is a huge driver for Hafod and we’re looking for an innovative leader to support our environmental goals.

You will need a full current driving license and have a willingness to work flexibly.


  • The role offers a salary range of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience
